Mrs. Daljit Kaur Gill is our Assistant Practice Manager. She is also the wife of Dr. Gurdev Singh Gill and it is her cheery voice that will often greet your calls to the clinic. Mrs. Daljit Kaur Gill has a wealth of experience working in Gill’s Veterinary Clinic. She has worked for many years within the practice alongside her husband whilst progressing in her own career.

She was born and grew up in Singapore. She started her career in teaching in 1966 after graduating from Singapore Teacher’s Training College.  In 1969, she got married to Dr. Gurdev and moved to Penang. Between 1969 and 1977, Mrs. Daljit concentrated on managing the home and bringing up her two sons, whilst her husband Dr. Gurdev was building up his career as a veterinarian. In 1977, Mrs. Daljit restarted her career as a primary school teacher in Uplands. In July 1996, Mrs. Daljit retired from teaching and joined her husband in managing the practice. Between July 1998 and July 2004, Mrs. Daljit came out of retirement as the Deputy Principal (Head of Primary School) at the International School of Penang (Uplands).

As of July 2004, Mrs. Daljit officially retired from teaching and is currently serving the International School of Penang (Uplands) as a member of the school’s Board of Governors.

Whilst serving as a Governor at Uplands, she is currently concentrating her vast experience in assisting her husband in managing the practice as well as dividing her time between the home and her first grandchild.

Mrs. Daljit's sense of humor and sympathetic nature has been a great boost to our team and clients alike. Since the establishment of Gill’s Veterinary Clinic, she has helped make the practice what it is today. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family as well as happy a cup of tea with her friends.
